Jason, a.k.a. Jason Ringenberg of indie band Jason and the Scorchers, follows up his first hit CD for kids, "A Day at the Farm," with more zany yet oddly informative songs and narratives set against rock 'n' roll and country rhythms. This time, Ringenberg has forest encounters with skunks ("Punk Rock Skunk") and moose ("A Moose on the Loose"), toads ("Ode to a Toad") and mice ("Mrs. Mouse"). Guitar, trumpet, violin, oud, harmonica and pennywhistle are among the album's eclectic instrumental mix. Guest artists include Todd Snider, Webb Wilder and bassist Victor Wooten of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.
