Why am I called a butterfly? I am not made of butter
In fact if I was made of butter I would surely shudder
The summer sun would shine on down and I might melt away
Or end up on somebody’s toast, then what would I say?

Why am I called a butterfly? I don’t belong on bread
I think I would rather be called a flutter fly instead
Peanut butter honey butter butter mixed with jam
I am a low fat flutter fly, that is what I am

Why am I called a butterfly? Butter makes me sick
I like low fat yogurt, now that would do the trick
In fact when I eat butter it makes me want to sleep
It’s more fun to eat healthy food and exercise my feet
