Press Quotes

Farmer Jason harvests critical acclaim from around the globe.

It would be entirely feasible for Jason to release this same album with exactly the same musical tracks and to redo the lyrics to suit an adult audience. It is that good. Fair play then to Farmer Jason for giving the young and young-at-heart something positive and potent to play and learn (in many ways) from.
LONESOME HIGHWAY (UK)

Children are just like any other listener, serve them up patronising rubbish and they’ll smell it a mile away. But, as Rockin’ In The Forest shows, the reverse is also true. Not only is Rockin’ In The Forest hugely entertaining, it’s the best musical start in life you can offer. What parent wouldn’t want to do that.

Whilst the record is aimed at the younger market there is plenty here to enjoy for all.
AMERICANA-UK  – 8/10  (UK)

Jason has an educational impetus – he often takes his show into primary schools – but that doesn’t stop his Farmer Jason songs being great fun. So if you are a parent or grandparent of anyone under, say seven, you would do well to invest in Rockin’ In The Forest.
COUNTRY MUSIC PEOPLE  – 4/5  (UK)

Songs that should be played to get any party going, whether it’s a six year olds Saturday afternoon party or a Friday night get together of sixty year olds. Just try to sit still to this collection, or try not to raise a smile at the lyrics. It is simply irresistible.
PENNYBLACKMUSIC.CO.UK (UK)

Celebrating a return to our arboreal roots, it is hard not to shed a tear at the doleful Ode To A Toad, and songs such as Moose On The Loose and Punk Rock Skunk will have toddlers burning down Parliament before they reach puberty.
BIG ISSUE CYMRU  – 4/5  (UK)

“This album drops the saccharine overtone of most children’s albums in favor of a hootenanny for young people that speaks to its audience on their own level.”
ALL MUSIC GUIDE

This may be an unexpected turn for a club-rock veteran, but he pulls it off with conviction, spirit, terrific music, and a big heart.”
BARNES AND NOBLE.com
